At BookMusicLessons.com, music teachers aren’t just important—they’re the rockstars of the platform! They handle lessons, manage schedules, and keep everything running smoothly. In fact, the system won’t work without at least one teacher in place, ensuring seamless bookings, availability tracking, and lesson organisation.
For music schools, each teacher has their own schedule, making it easy to manage availability and bookings. And if there’s only one teacher? No problem! The Select Teacher option will be automatically hidden from the front-end student booking form since that teacher is the default choice.
While teachers are essential for lesson scheduling, they’re not required for managing events.
Creating and Managing Teachers
To add a new teacher, go to the “Teacher Settings” under the “Settings” option in the header menu. Then, click either “+ Add Teacher” in the top right corner or the round “+” button in the bottom right. This will open a side menu where you can enter the teacher’s details.
Each teacher’s profile includes five key tabs:
- Details – Add and manage essential teacher information.
- Assigned Lesson Types – View all available lesson types and assign them to the teacher. Lesson capacity and pricing can also be customised per teacher.
- Work Hours – Set the teacher’s availability, including multiple teaching periods per day and scheduled breaks. Specific lessons and locations can be assigned to each period.
- Days Off – While Global Days Off apply to all teachers, this tab lets you add individual time off, like holidays or sick leave. Days Off cannot be overridden by Special Days or Work Hours.
- Special Days – Customise a teacher’s schedule for specific days or periods. Adjust teaching hours, assign different lessons, or modify availability for a single day or an entire week. Special Days override standard work hours but do not override Days Off.
